The new video, “Dictator” was released today by Rocky Athas. Known by critics as “The Texas Tornado” and “The Last Great Bluesbreaker Guitarist,” Rocky Athas possesses an arsenal of ripping, soulful guitar riffs and catchy tunes.

From his first solo album at Willie Nelson’s studio with multi-Grammy winning producer, Jim Gaines, recording with Buddy Miles and SRV’s Double Trouble, to Glenn Hughes, Joe Walsh and John Mayall, Athas has a blues rock pedigree that reads like a who’s who of celebrated musicians.

Guitar Player Magazine called Rocky “a veteran Texas gunslinger with a wicked tone and a thriving solo career of his own.”

Rocky Athas’ new album, Shakin’ The Dust, produced by Jim Gaines, was released October 15, 2017. Athas was lead guitarist with John Mayall’s legendary Bluesbreakers. He was featured on John Mayall’s album, A Special Life and has released a series of his own albums, including Let My Guitar Do the Talking…With My Friends, Miracle, Voodoo Moon, and Lighting Strikes Twice.
