AC/DC new single Realize image

Power Up

AC/DC release their new song ‘Realize’ from their upcoming album, Power Up, out Friday November 13, 2020.

“Realize” has the trademark AC/DC sound and Angus Young’s rockin’ riffs. The whole song rocks. They haven’t missed a step during their absence of six years from music and the first with all surviving members of Back In Black. Written by the late Malcolm Young, “Realize” is so AC/DC and we love it

Power Up is AC/DC’s first album since Rock or Bust (2014) and Brian Johnson’s vocals are in fine form. After Rock Or Bust, Malcolm Young was forced to retire because of health issues and his nephew Stevie played on the album and tour. Drummer Phil Rudd was arrested during this period and drummer Chris Slade took his place from 1989-1994 on tour. Brian Johnson had to leave the band at the end of this tour due to hearing loss and Axl Rose took his place for European and US tour dates. At the close of the tour, bass player Cliff Williams retired. Malcolm Young retired due to early onset dementia and died in 2107.

We welcome them back with Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams and of course, Angus Young on Power Up.

“This record is pretty much a dedication to Malcolm, my brother,” Angus said about the new album, which features co-writing by Malcolm on each song.

This is the band’s second single release from Power Up, the first “Shot In the Dark”  released about a month ago.

Here’s to some great rock and roll at a time when we’re ready to rock. Let’s hope for a Power Up tour when the pandemic is over. This is AC/DC in the modern age but with their recognizable sound from the 80’s and 90’s.
