Celebrating the heroes of the Lockdown, multi award-winning blues and roots songstress Elles Bailey releases the beautiful song and accompanying video “Love Is Gonna Win” on Friday February 26, 2021. The song was written with award-winning songwriter, Tamara Stewart in 2019.
This smoky-voiced singer, songwriter has won two of the prestigious UK Blues Awards awarded by the UK Blues Foundation for 2020’s “Best Album of the Year” for her sophomore album, Road I Call Home, and “Blues Artist of the Year” presented at the ceremony by Larkin Poe. Elles Bailey wrote “Little Piece of Heaven” with Memphis Nashville giant Bobby Wood and Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys) and won ‘UK Song of the Year” at the UK Americana Awards also from Road I Call Home.
About “Love Is Gonna Win” Elles says, “We have all lived through a time of isolation. But I really wanted to use the video to celebrate my fans’ ‘Lockdown Heroes’, and spread the message that in the end love will always win!” She adds, “I edited the video myself and it’s been such a heartwarming experience, seeing everyone’s messages of love and their thanks to their ‘Lockdown Heroes’.”
With a rich feel of the Blues and Nashville in the melody and mix, Elles’ soulful and spellbinding vocal delivers a message of optimism and hope. “Love Is Gonna Win’ is a particularly moving song, especially with the video clips of Elles’ fans, friends, followers and fellow artists holding up signs with names of those who helped them through the long days and nights of lockdowns. Each is a nomination for their very own ‘Lockdown Hero.’
Elles’ warm, self-edited video shows the track being recorded in an atmospheric studio, lit by candles and lanterns glinting off the silver drum fittings, guitars and the like. Seeing real people hold up their placards and other notices nominating their ‘Lockdown Hero” touches all of us who most likely could nominate a few of our own during lockdowns. The video is quite beautiful and touching.
