Blues Rockers Sons of Levin Release the Funky ‘Ecclesiastes’

Sons of Levin, the blues-rock jam band known for their infectious grooves, has just dropped their latest funky single, “Ecclesiastes.”  This track dives deep into societal issues like freedom and justice, tapping into lively rhythms and sincere lyrics. The band believes that unity among us is essential for successfully navigation of the challenges we face in the world today.

With their unmistakable energy, Sons of Levin infuse “Ecclesiastes” with a vibrant spirit, reminding us how music serves as a powerful form of expression that can bring people together, especially in tough times. This single marks the third offering from their upcoming EP and showcases a blend of Stevie Wonder-inspired funk along with Vulfpeck-style breakdowns. With its rock-n-roll vibe and open lyricism, the song stands out as a compelling response to the struggles we all endure.

Addressing the deeper meanings behind the song, Sons of Levin share their perspective: “In short, the message is this: The issues we face as a united humanity are real, but we must remember, we have faced these threats before, albeit in different forms. Freedom, justice, and even the soul, are under attack.” Not letting the negative nuances of civilization get in the way, they continue, “Our history as human beings has shown that we will overcome any and all obstacles if we stick together and love one another.” Sons of Levin found a remedy that brings humans together: Music, emphasizing, “Music can be a vehicle for this unity. Admittedly, music cannot solve any of these problems on its own. However, it can be a form of expression to propel ourselves towards harmony and a delight in another’s gifts.”

“Music can be a vehicle for this unity. Admittedly, music cannot solve any of these problems on its own.
