Samantha Fish Releases New Track + Live Performance Video

“Better Be Lonely”

From Forthcoming Album, ‘Faster’

Out September 10

August 27, 2021 – Samantha Fish has today released “Better Be Lonely”, a track taken from the genre-bending guitar phenom, singer, and songwriter’s forthcoming album Faster, out September 10 and available to pre-order.

“’Better Be Lonely’ is about putting someone on ice, where you’re telling them: ‘I don’t want you right now, but when I am ready to have you, you better be there,’” comments Fish of the track.

Fish has also released a live performance of the song, giving fans a taste of what they can expect to see when she and her touring band – bassist Ron Johnson, drummer Sarah Tomek, and keyboardist Matt Wade – head out on the road across the US & Europe throughout the fall & winter. The Faster Tour will reach the UK in January 2022, including a headline show at London’s prestigious O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on February 3rd.

Faster’s lead single “Twisted Ambition” is currently A-Listed at Planet Rock radio and was the No.1 pick in Classic Rock magazine’s ‘The Hot List’, who wrote “Twisted Ambition is slinky and funky and features a chorus that will work its way into your skull like a trepanning drill.”

Faster is the follow-up to 2019’s acclaimed Kill or Be Kind, and marks Fish’s first collaboration with Kierszenbaum (Lady Gaga, Sting), who co-wrote eight of the album’s 12 new songs and helped the guitarist, singer, and songwriter to refine her sound and strike out into bold new sonic territory.

Over the course of her career as an award-winning artist, Samantha Fish has brought extraordinary power to her self-expression, capturing her inner world in combustible riffs, visceral rhythms, and spine-tingling vocal work. On Faster, she imbues even more intensity into her electrifying brand of blues/rock-and-roll. With Fish accompanied on the recording by multi-instrumentalist Kierszenbaum, legendary drummer Josh Freese (Guns N’ Roses, Nine Inch Nails, The Replacements) and bassist Diego Navaira of The Last Bandoleros, the result is a singular body of work both irresistibly galvanizing and emotionally raw.
