Arielle, 73, album cover

Arielle, ’73’

Award-winning guitarist, singer and songwriter Arielle, announced her new album ’73’ set to release April 20, 2023. Her new album is an ode to her 1973 Volswagon Bay Window Bus, a celebration of it’s 50 years of existence. But more than that, it’s a celebration of a young musician with a four-octave vocal range and remarkable guitar skills.

“I bought my bus because every time I step into it, I feel like it’s a time machine,” says Arielle. “Every time I step in, it takes me back to ’73.”

Arielle was first discovered by guitarist Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme, Rihanna) and signed with an independent record label. She then toured the US and UK, playing with Heart, Joan Jett, Graham Nash, Country Joe McDonald, Joe Bonamassa and more. She was then hand-picked by guitarist Brian May for a key role in the London-based musical, “We Will Rock You,” a production based on the songs of his band Queen. Vince Gill named her one of the “Top 5 Best New Guitarists.”

Mixing classic rock and folk-rock with plenty of The Who-inspired guitar, Arielle shares her new single and video “”73,” a catchy up-tempo number about being transported back in time through her VW bus.

“‘73” is an absolute rocker that quickly showcases Arielle’s greatness. Her vocals are audacious and bold, her slide guitar chops fly high, and her tone is without equal. She has an “old soul” quality to her that makes her classic rock sound feel fresh and genuine. “‘73” is an undeniable hit on the verge of happening and you won’t be able to resist spinning it again and again.

Arielle’s last album Analog Girl In A Digital World (2021) put her at the vanguard of the new Wave of Classic Rock. She’s an old-school musician with an inborn love for the soul and sound of the 60s and 70s and a dedication to achieving the level of craft required to succeed in those pre-computer days. She earned her degree from Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles and continued her education at London’s Institute of Contemporary Music Performance.

The album features her brand-new BMG Arielle Guitar in cherry red; manufactured by Brian May Guitars. The first quantity of the BMG Arielle guitars sold out in 90 minutes. Due to popular demand, for the very first time, the BMG Arielle will be available in limited edition solid cherry red color.

“To understand why this guitar was irresistible to me, you need to hold her in your hands,” says Arielle. “The guitar is light, and smooth and agile. The BMG Arielle sings like a bird.”

“Arielle’s guitar playing reaches places I never knew existed,” says Brian May. “I believe this guitar will do the same.”

Arielle is a young woman born in a different generation. As a child of the new millennium, Arielle has often faced depression, versus the music boom and creativity that emerged in the 1960s and the 1970s – a time where things were done by hand, with a level of craft that could not be hidden behind technology.
