Eric Gales, one of the best guitarists in the world, is a left-handed guitarist of extraordinary ability and an expressive vocalist. Gales has developed a unique hybrid blues/rock sound that draws upon influences as diverse as Albert King and Eric Johnson as well as Jimi Hendrix. Guitar virtuoso is an apt description. This guy is extraordinary.

If you haven’t heard of him, you must check him out. Hands down, his skills as a guitarist are beyond outstanding. Watch him play and you’ll see what I mean.

Eric Gales released Middle of the Road in 2017 to rave reviews from this reviewer and many others. See review here.

Born in Memphis to a musical family, he learned to play guitar at age four from his older brothers, Eugene and Manuel, as an upside-down left-handed guitarist. Gales won his first blues contest at age 11 and then released his first record at age 16 along with Eugene for Elektra records.

Guitar World Magazine’s annual reader poll named Eric “Best New Talent,” in 1991. After recording a second record for Elektra, he and his three brothers teamed up for The Gales Bros. Left Hand Brand which was recorded for the House of Blues label in 1996.

This was beginning of a successful career of recording 16 critically acclaimed albums and collaborating on many others. Eric Gales continues to mesmerize fans around the world with his uncanny connection to his guitar.

Gales latest album, Middle of the Road, features guest spots from Gary Clark Jr, Lance Lopez, and others. He is currently on tour.
