Grace Potter (Performing June 24)
Grace Potter is a Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and internationally-acclaimed rock musician. She formed Grace Potter and the Nocturnals in 2002 while attending St. Lawrence University in upstate New York. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals toured extensively, playing festivals and venues throughout North America. Potter released her latest album Daylight (Fantasy) in 2019, garnering two Grammy nominations. Described by Spin as “one of the greatest voices in rock today” and by SF Weekly as “the whole package,” Potter continues to impress both audiences and critics with her musical achievements and captivating live shows. Potter plans to release new music and tour extensively in 2023, as well as continue to pursue her passion for film-making, podcasting, and writing.

Devon Allman Project (Performing June 25)
The modern rock troubadour, Blues award winning singer, songwriter, guitarist and torch-bearer for the legacy of Allman Family music has led bands such as Honeytribe, Royal Southern Brotherhood, and the Allman Family Revival. In 2017, Devon assembled the Devon Allman Project, commencing a 2018-19 world tour with Duane Betts as a special guest. Following that successful run, he and Betts announced the formation of the Allman Betts Band, reuniting with Oakley and recording their debut album at the famed Muscle Shoals studio. Devon is excited to introduce the Devon Allman Project to everyone at Blues from the Top. Devon has put together a special show and has asked a few of his long time friends to join him. DAP will be joined by Blues from the Top favorites including Anders Osborne, the legendary Jimmy Hall, and blues guitarist Larry McCray. You can bet that this will be a magical evening of soulful Rock n Roll.

Samantha Fish feat. Jesse Dayton (Performing June 24)
The first-ever collaborative album from Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton, Death Wish Blues is a body of work born from a shared passion for pushing the limits of blues music. As one of the most dynamic forces in the blues world today, Fish has made her name as a multi-award-winning festival headliner who captivates crowds with her explosive yet elegant guitar work, delivering an unbridled form of blues-rock that defies all genre boundaries. Dayton, meanwhile, boasts an extraordinary background that includes recording with the likes of Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, touring as a guitarist for seminal punk band X, working with Rob Zombie on the soundtracks for his iconic horror films, and releasing a series of acclaimed solo albums. Produced by the legendary Jon Spencer of Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Death Wish Blues ultimately melds their eclectic sensibilities into a batch of songs both emotionally potent and wildly combustible.

About Grand County Blues Society: The Grand County Blues Society (GCBS) non-profit (501c3) was created in 2002 to enhance the cultural existence of Grand County residents and to be a beacon for our friends and visitors that love escaping to the shadow of the Continental Divide. For well over a decade, the GCBS has produced twenty-one Blues Festivals, over two hundred and eighty five individual blues concerts, and has continued its support of our primary programs.

The Grand County Blues Society has been a pioneer in the realm of blues music education. School-age kids across Grand County are lucky to have been immersed in the blues. Not only have they been entertained by all the programs that have come their way, they have also been on the stage, creating their own “bluesical” and giving performances on the festival stages over the years.

Blue Star Connection (BSC) is our most notable program and in it’s nineteenth year, has supplied over ninety two Children’s Hospitals with valuable and plentiful collections of musical instruments for their music therapy departments. BSC has also gifted over eight-hundred individual children personal instruments. We continue to support the music therapy industry with constant fund-raising and an all-out effort to continue the mission of BSC. Music Therapy needs an advocate, and we are proud to be considered a front-runner. We have done all of this with an all-volunteer board, and a very loyal and generous membership.
